LET’S GO Lights Up the Night at the 2025 Annapolis Parade of Lights

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, LET’S GO was proud to host Light Up the Night, a private viewing party for one of Annapolis’s most beloved holiday traditions — the Annapolis Parade of Lights, officially known as the Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade.

As decorated boats glided through Spa Creek and Ego Alley, illuminating the water with festive displays, guests gathered from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the historic Zimmerman-Wilson House in downtown Annapolis. The evening marked the joyful kickoff to the holiday season and brought together community members for a night filled with celebration, connection, and purpose.

A Historic Setting for a Memorable Evening

Located at 138 Conduit Street, the Zimmerman-Wilson House provided a truly special backdrop for the event. Built between 1893 and 1897 for U.S. Naval Academy Bandmaster and Choir Director Charles Zimmerman, the home is one of the few examples of Queen Anne–style Victorian architecture in Annapolis. While it appears entirely unique, the house was originally constructed from a mail-order catalog plan, adding to its charm and historical significance.

Since restoration efforts began in 2007, the Zimmerman-Wilson House has earned multiple preservation awards from Historic Annapolis, the Anne Arundel County Trust for Preservation, and the Maryland General Assembly — making it a fitting and meaningful venue for a community-centered celebration.

LET’S GO provided refreshments and a prime viewing location, allowing guests to relax, enjoy the parade, and celebrate the season together. While the event was free and open to the community, attendees were invited to make a donation to support LET’S GO’s mission.

Every contribution made during Light Up the Night helps strengthen the future workforce by supporting more than 3,000 students each year with hands-on STEM education and workforce development experiences.
