Bots, Brains, and Big Moves: Meet Gen U

During the month of June, LET'S GO hosted another successful STEM Social, bringing together Baltimore's vibrant tech community to connect, collaborate, and celebrate student achievement. The event gave our brilliant youth the opportunity to network and showcase their preparation for upcoming VEX activities.

Attendees got to meet with the members from LET'S GO's amazing competitive robotics team, Gen U. During the event, Gen U showcased their robots, and even gave short demonstrations on how to control their bots to complete challenges from previous VEX seasons!

Additionally, Gen U was proud to participate alongside LET'S GO in the STEM Expo during Baltimore's SAIL 250 celebration at the Inner Harbor, with exhibit space generous provided by the Baltimore Development Corporation. Throughout the three-day event, our Gen U high school robotics team, led by Coach Peter Almonte, welcomed hundreds of visitors of all ages to our exhibit.



Our students did an outstanding job introducing families to STEM education and technology career pathways, while giving dozens of children the opportunity to drive robots and interact with 3D-printed creations. It was amazing to see so many young minds experiencing robotics at such an early age, and a truly inspiring example of our students becoming ambassadors for STEM.



The highlight of the event was our students being on live television! Two members of the Gen U team were interviewed by CBS Baltimore, showcasing their dedication, hard work, and newfound skillsets. We know that this is only the beginning for our esteemed team members, and we'll continue to support their future endeavors.

We certainly can't wait for them to exhibit at our next STEM Social and wow the attendees once more!
