Each year, FIRST® LEGO® League introduces a new Challenge inspired by real-world scientific themes, encouraging students to think critically, innovate boldly, and work collaboratively. As part of FIRST®, the world’s leading youth robotics community, FIRST® LEGO® League empowers young people through robotics competitions that build confidence, spark curiosity, and prepare students for success both in and beyond the classroom.
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, LET’S GO proudly hosted a FIRST® LEGO® League Scrimmage at our headquarters located at 2601 N. Howard Street, Suite 160, Baltimore, MD. The event brought together student teams from across Baltimore City for a day of practice, collaboration, and growth as they prepared for upcoming regional competitions.
Teams in Attendance
A total of eight teams participated in the scrimmage:
6040 DOT5UDOGS
1241 Stadium School
25567 Govans Dragon Designers
25986 Lakeland Mini-Builders
53712 Desert Wolves
55836 Unearthed Emperors
69409 Ruined Invaders
70667 Hamilton 2025–2026
As a scrimmage, the event was non-competitive by design. Rather than focusing on winners, teams used the opportunity to practice robot performance, refine presentations, and receive valuable feedback in a supportive environment.
Confidence, Collaboration, and Teamwork on Display
Volunteers helped make the day a success, assisting with setup and cleanup, distributing snacks, and serving as judges for team presentations. Judges were consistently impressed by the confidence and communication skills demonstrated by students across all teams.
Several teams stood out for their thoughtful reflections on the challenges they faced and overcame. In particular, teams from St. Ignatius shared insightful commentary about learning to code and program their robots. Through strong teamwork and perseverance, they successfully tackled complex FIRST® LEGO® League challenges, demonstrating how collaboration can turn obstacles into accomplishments.

Looking Ahead to the FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge
With the scrimmage complete, all teams are now gearing up for the regional FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge in January.
